A Brief History

Philip Curtiss and Laurie Southworth formed a corporation on September 1, 1989, called Health Solutions, Inc. to manufacture and market a cigarette replacement device called Better Quit®, to address the important behavioral habits associated with smoking. On June 19, 1990, a registered trademark was issued for the name Better Quit®, and on August 27, 1991, a utility patent was issued for its unique adjustable air-intake capability. Health Solutions, Inc. has manufactured and marketed over 200,000 Better Quit® devices.
